This Kickstarter Invention That Would Impress da Vinci Just Won $2500

To celebrate the return of Da Vinci's Demons, a Starz Original Series, readers like you voted for the Kickstarter that best exemplifies the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. The winner of the vote gets $2500 in funding toward their project. Time to meet them!

While lots of people loved the idea of eighth graders building their own library, and even more people drooled over an affordable 3D printer, it's Fluux LiquiMetal for the win. In case you need a refresher, Fluux LiquiMetal is a ferrofluid suspension that blends chemistry and design into a flexible, interactive desktop display. An aluminum wand lets you control the density and fluidity of the ferrofluid within the main display. To see it in action, watch the video below.

Fluux Design Lab founder Krunal Patel appreciates the win. "Winning this contest and watching our Kickstarter project get funded gives us the opportunity to take a chance and indulge our creative side. It allows us to do what we want to do and not what we have to do... it's a freedom that means the world to us and it's something we are very grateful for."

Thanks for voting! And don't forget to watch the genius in action with the series return of Da Vinci's Demons, March 22 at 9/8c on Starz.
